The College theme for 2012 is Called to Serve.

It has been inspired by one of the images of Jesus that is presented in Mark’s Gospel; Jesus as the suffering servant. This year Mark’s Gospel will be heard almost every Sunday so we will have the opportunity to become familiar with Jesus’ understanding of discipleship and service. The call to discipleship, then and now, is essentially a call to serve. Through baptism Christians are initiated into a particular way of seeing and acting in the world:
• We are called to make the Gospel – or the good news – about Jesus a lived reality;
• We are called to be the face of Christ to others and to see the face of Christ in others;
We are called to serve.
